Software Engineer, Fullstack (Early Career)

About Global Data and BI Global Data and BI is hiring on a rolling basis for Data, BI & Analytics and ML/AI projects for large corporations. Beyond consulting services, we build production-ready business platforms and SaaS applications that leverage modern cloud technologies, data analytics, and AI capabilities. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions with certified engineers in AWS and Microsoft Azure / Power BI technologies. Our focus includes transformation projects in the financial industry, custom platform development, and our proprietary Noème suite of products. Our mission is to transform the corporate data journey from complexity to strategic clarity, ensuring data is not just collected, but leveraged to drive smarter decisions, stronger businesses, and lasting impact.

Summary

As an Early Career Fullstack Software Engineer at Global Data and BI, you'll help build core features for our Noème product suite and enterprise data platforms. You'll tackle meaningful challenges with increasing autonomy, crafting code that powers data-driven decision making for Fortune 500 companies. You'll take ownership of projects that matter, make technical decisions, and contribute to building world-class data and analytics products. Working alongside experienced engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists, you'll accelerate your growth while delivering real business value.

We're hiring early career engineers to work on our Noème products, client platforms, and internal tools. Your manager will partner with you to find projects that align with your interests and where you can make the highest impact while developing your skills.

What you'll do (roles & responsibilities)

  • Plan, build, and ship product features from conception to launch across the full stack (frontend, backend, database), then iterate based on user feedback and analytics
  • Develop user interfaces for data visualization, analytics dashboards, and business intelligence applications using modern frontend frameworks
  • Build backend services and APIs that power data processing, authentication, integrations, and business logic
  • Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to design schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity
  • Improve performance, reliability, and quality of key experiences used by enterprise customers and internal teams
  • Implement data integrations connecting various data sources (APIs, databases, files) into unified platforms
  • Build internal tools and platform improvements that help all engineers ship features quickly and safely
  • Run experiments that drive user activation, retention, and product adoption, partnering with design and data teams
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and learn from senior engineers
  • Debug production issues and contribute to on-call rotation as you gain experience
  • Contribute to technical documentation and team knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data Engineering, and Client Success teams
  • Help shape team norms, code quality standards, and engineering culture
  • Stay current with modern development tools and best practices

Areas you might work on

  • Noème product features: Develop and maintain features for our data and analytics products, focusing on dashboards, data exploration, reporting, collaboration, or other key areas
  • AI and automation: Build and integrate intelligent features that make data platforms more powerful, contextual, and efficient for enterprise users
  • Data visualization: Create interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards that help users understand complex datasets
  • Client platform customization: Extend core products with custom features for specific client needs and industries
  • Platform and infrastructure: Contribute to backend services, APIs, and systems that ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Internal tools: Build developer tools, admin interfaces, and automation that improve team productivity

What you should have (Must-Haves)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of full-time professional software engineering experience building web applications as part of an engineering team
  • Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
  • Frontend development skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Backend development experience with server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)
  • Database knowledge including SQL, schema design, and query optimization
  • Understanding of web technologies: HTTP, REST APIs, authentication, and security basics
  • Proven track record of execution: You've built and shipped features that real users depend on
  • Thoughtful problem-solving: You approach problems holistically, starting with clear understanding of context and user needs
  • Product-minded thinking: You understand the implications of what you're building and how it impacts users' workflows
  • Impact-driven approach: You see technologies as tools to achieve user impact rather than ends in themselves
  • Proactive communication: You own your work, communicate clearly about progress and blockers
  • High agency: You show initiative in identifying what needs to be done and drive projects forward
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity: You can decompose complex problems into clean solutions
  • Team player: You collaborate effectively, ask questions when needed, and learn from senior engineers
  • Quality focus: You write clean, maintainable code and care about testing and documentation

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with our tech stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
